Awnings from VBS UK are constructed from corrosion resistant, extruded aluminium profiles with a powder coat finish, together with stainless steel components for longevity.
The arms are twin-sprung and use either double or quadruple cable attachments to give optimum fabric tension at every position.
A full cassette ensures that the fabric is totally enclosed when the awning is retracted, protecting it from the weather and dirt or dust in the atmosphere.
The angle of inclination may be set from 5º to 38º to suit the particular application.
No maintenance is required other than a wipe over the framework to keep it looking clean and fresh.
A Sattler fabric cover completes a high quality product. The fabric is 300g/m2, spun dyed woven acrylic with a TEXguard coating. TEXguard makes the material water repellent, colour, light and weather fast and protects it against airborne spores which establish fungal growth, mould and algae.
Operation of the awning may be manual via an in-built gearbox and external eye with winding handle, or for sheer ease of use and effortless adjustment, the awning can be motorised and activated via a remote handset. Just press the button and extend or retract the awning to any position you want, at will. Our motorised awnings utilise Somfy motors which carry a 5 year warranty. Also available is a wind sensor that will instruct the motor to retract the awning in the case of it having been left extended during high winds. This recommended safety device is designed to protect your awning from potential damage in bad weather.
