Fixed Bars & Mesh Grilles
Fixed bars and mesh grilles are a more economical way of securing those smaller openings where aesthetics is not an issue, or where the opening is too small to accommodate a shutter or retractable grille. We are, however, able to manufacture more elaborate designs to suit individual taste.
Manufactured from steel, these items are powder coated in any of our stocked colours at no extra cost. For external applications, a zinc base primer is recommended at a surcharge.
Basic designs include:
Fixed bars: Either 20mm square bar in a 40mm square box frame or 16mm round bars in a 30mm square box frame. Bars are at approx. 125mm centres and horizontal spreader bars are incorporated on units above 1000mm in height. Unit weights for square bar are 35 kgs/m2 and for round bar are 25 kgs/m2
Mesh grilles: Either diamond pattern mesh (77mm high X 33mm wide) or square pattern (25mm X 25mm) to a steel frame. 25mm flat bar frame for face fixing and 25mm X 25mm steel angle frame for reveal fixing.
