Razor-Spike
Razor-Spike is a serious anti-climb measure featuring a castellated appearance that, despite its aggressive nature, is neater by far than rolls of barbed or razor wire running along the edge of a roof, wall or fence. It has even been allowed in conservation areas.
Manufactured in galvanised steel, the product may be powder coated in any available RAL or BS colour for a surcharge. The extremely sharp points and barbs are designed to deter even the most foolhardy, and they can inflict serious damage.
Aware of the hazardous nature of this product, VBS UK has teams trained in correct installation procedures to ensure compliance with the Occupier's Liability Act 1984. Broadly speaking, this includes:
- A minimum installation height of 2m from the ground, and 2.2m within school grounds
- Fixing to the leading edge of the structure it is protecting
- Installing clear warning signs at strategic points
